Pelton Fell History

   PELTON FELL MINING COMMEMORATION

The Lives of 24 Men lost in a County Durham Mining Tragedy are honoured, 150 years on.

Men and Boys as young as 11 year old, were amongst the Pelton Fell pit disaster of 1866 . A very moving service was held on October 31st to mark the 150th anniversary where people paid their  respects.
